Culture and Arts

With the vision to make the monastery a vibrant place to visit and socialise other than just for religious activities, the Culture & Performance Events Department was set-up to promote and manage the various Arts and Cultural activities.

Other than just enabling people to experience the joy of engaging in an art form both to release their passionate creative energy as well as to detach themselves from the mundane affairs of life and have the opportunity in getting to know more spiritual friends, the department is also spear-heading efforts to Talent-Scout, Nurture & Groom Talented Buddhist to their fullest potiential in the Arts and Performance Arena.

The department is also involved in organizing many charity concerts to help raise fund for non-profit organization such as Shan You Counselling Centre and as well as supporting various Buddhist Arts & Cultural projects. In addition, the production of various CDs on Buddhist Music, Hymns, and Chanting are also part of the department's portfolio.
