Just training and educating children alone is not enough as we discovered that many parents do not have a good understanding of the Dharma, and thus for their benefit, starting Jan this year, the school also conducts courses & sessions for the parents every Saturday

	Recent Courses:
•	Basic Dharma Teachings & Talks (in Chinese) Conducted by our Spiritual Advisor, Ven De Yuan and her disciples
•	Child Development Related Talks By various guest speakers

Apart from that we hope to form a Parent Support Group in the near future whereby parents can give spiritual and mental support to each other.

Parent Volunteers

The school operates with the help of a group of logistic volunteers whose responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the school. From preparing the main shrine for puja to setting up of the classrooms, these volunteers help in every aspect to provide a conducive learning environment for both the teachers and students. Other events include as Dharma Day, Teachers’ Day celebration, Food Distribution Program, Buddhist Youth camps, and outings/excursions. By actively helping the Sat/Sun School, volunteers are also doing their part in propagating the Dharma and this gives them a great sense of satisfaction.

There are 2 types of parent volunteers. There are the regular ones who drop by once a week and there are the ad-hoc ones who help out whenever we need their help.
