Learn. Practice. Realise. Share. ... planting the Bodhi Seeds

PKS Sat/Sun School
PKS Sat/Sun Schoo
l was founded in September 1983 with the help of a few volunteer Dharma teachers and supporting staff. The first batch of classes commenced with 70 pupils, from Pre-primary to Secondary 1. Due to shortage of classrooms, they had their lessons in the Dharma Hall, which was divided into 4 smaller classrooms.

We grew to about 200 students and more volunteer Dharma teachers join us. The school program expanded to include more activities such as community service, outings and camps.

To cater for expansion, new Dharma teachers and supporting staff were recruited to run the school. Currently the school has about 85 teachers and 950 students. Classes range from Primary 1 to Secondary 4 and take place in the Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas and Ven. Hong Chuan Memorial Hall on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Our Vision A model institution for Buddhist education.

Our Mission To propagate the Dharma to the young, for their spiritual development and well-being, through the joy of learning, practicing and sharing, in a warm, supportive and inspiring Buddhist environment.

Our Strategic Values
- Patience: We will be patient, and be able to bear and forbear the wrongs of others and ourselves.
