To further improve
its Dharma Propagation efforts, the monastery had
implemented many changes over the years to better serve the public.
Its current management reflects the important role creativity plays
in today's dynamically changing world.
The monastery places much emphasis on Dharma education. It runs
a Saturday and Sunday School,
Tender Loving Care Student Care Centre
and Youth Ministry - all of
which reaches out to various groups of youngsters. There is also
an Teacher's Training &
Support program which focuses on the mental and psychological
development of both students and their teachers.
The monastery also has its own Publication Department, which focuses
on publication of free Dharma materials
and activity publicity posters. The Spiritual
Events Management Department organises activities such as public
talks, classes and retreats, with the aim of bringing the Dharma
to both Buddhists and non-Buddhists.
The above efforts are boosted in publicity by the Awareness
Place bookshop chain, which focuses on making a wide variety
of Buddhist books and products available at its 2 branches. Last
but not least, the Web Department, together with the IT Department,
maintain this site, AwarenessPlace.com
and several other websites. |
