The Strategic Initiative Management Dept (SIMD) aims to spearhead the integrated infrastructure and Customer Relation Management (CRM) system for the entire organisation.

Looking after the software aspect of the monastery, SIMM also initiates internal and external collaboration programs, such as the Clean & Green Initiative 2003/04, Work Improvement Exchange program etc.

The Ministry provides support in these areas:
- Project Management (PM)
- Management Information Technology (MIT)

KMSPKS has evolved gradually over the years. Currently, the new 4-storey Venerable Seck Hong Choon Memorial Hall and the reconstructed Hall of Three Buddhas are near completion. A proposed upgrading of the whole monastery is in the pipeline.
