On the right of Amitabha Buddha is Mahasthamaprapta or Dashizi Bodhisattva. "Mahasthamaprapta" means "Great Strength", with which the Bodhisattvas have in their practice of helping all sentient beings be free of sufferings. Together with Amitabha Buddha and Guanyin Bodhisattva, the trio is called "The 3 Saints of the Western Paradise (Pureland)." Both Bodhisattvas are disciples and attendants of Amitabha Buddha.
