Spiritual Events Management Department

One of the larger and more well-known departments, Spiritual Events Management has its beginning in 1998. Responsible for organising spiritual events within the monastery, this department endeavours to create awareness and interest in Buddhist teachings and practice for different levels of understanding, and to help chart a spiritual path of progress for aspiring Buddhists to be guided correctly with the help of qualified Sangha members in a systematic approach for each tradition of the three vehicles. Ultimately, this department wishes to achieve the long-term goal of being a reputable Buddhist institution in which both beginners and practitioners can learn the pure, correct and perfect teachings of the Buddha, free from superstition and corruptions from undesirable cultural influences. To date, it has conducted numerous beneficial events including Zen meditation, Novitiate programmes for adults and children, monthly Group Mani Recitation, monthly Eight Precepts retreat, and various Dharma talks given by illustrious Venerables around the world.
