Course Outline

1st Module: Helping Others Through Self-Discovery

Small group experiential learning to enhance self-awareness

 

2nd Module: Basic Counselling Skills

Learn the principles, ethics and core skills in basic counselling

 

3rd Module: Counselling Model

With emphasis in using Solution-Focused approaches in counselling

 

4th Module: Role Plays And Skills Practice

Skills demonstrations, role plays to enhance the learning of counselling skills

 

Who must attend

 

Entry Requirement

  1. Aged 18 and above
  2. Able to understand simple English
  3. Has a strong desire to achieve self-growth, self-care and help others

 

Certification

Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion if they achieve more than 80% attendance rate.

Every Tuesday evenings starting from 19 February 2008 till 15 April 2008

Sunday 9 March and 23 March from 9.30am to 2.30pm

Awareness Place [Well-Being] Centre

Duration: 12 Sessions

 

Time: 7.00pm to 9.30pm

 

Cost: $386.00 per person (inclusive of 7% GST)

 

About the Trainer

Sean Liew (Bear), B.Bus(HRM) M.Soc(Counselling) PGD(SFBT)

Sean Liew (a.k.a. Bear) is a Psychotherapist-Coach. He has been working with children, youths, couples, parents and families as a youth worker, counsellor, trainer for over 8 years. He is a registered Professional Member of American Counselling Association. Sean has strong passion and interest in learning and discovering how one can motivates and empowers another in search of the true happiness in life. He is happily married with two children.
