BUILDING, PROJECT & FACILITY SENIOR EXECUTIVE

The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of alteration/improvement/infrastructure works, environmental improvement and building projects. He/she will also participate in the formulation, establishment of strategy, policies and guidelines to support key development areas within the department, development of framework and guideline for Master Plan and its supporting system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the upkeep of existing buildings/facilities, managing and overseeing the performance of service providers, contractors and/or consultants, assist in the selection and appointment of contractors and/or consultants, planning and participating in the controlling operating expenses, managing improvement works, alterations and/or new developments
  • Provide leadership and direction on all building/project/facility operations and activities such as contract documentations, tender specifications, technical and feasibility studies, schedule planning and budget control relating to projects, building CAPEX and cyclical works

Job Specifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Architecture/ Mechanical/ Construction Management/ Facilities Management or related fields, certificate in construction safety, environment and health
  • At least 8 years’ related working experience of which at least 3 years managing projects with construction cost of at least $10 million
  • Resourceful and able to work independently but shall also be a team player with strong leadership in leading multi-disciplinary teams, possess good verbal and written communication skills, good computer literacy and have sound knowledge of construction safety, project management, building construction and building maintenance
  • Independent, Leadership, Team Player, Inter-personnel skill
  • Sound knowledge of M&E systems and certification as a Fire Safety and Green Mark Facility Manager will be an added advantage

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT CUM CARPENTER

To handle the carpentry work in the Monastery, installations, corrective and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To understudy the current carpentry contractor with regards to all carpentry work and procedures for monastery events
  • To maintain and update maintenance records & documentations
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and cleaning, conduct checks on installations, trouble shooting, preventive and corrective wooden furniture maintenance works
  • Support event in the Monastery, e.g. setting up of praying fixtures
  • Perform minor adjustment on room furniture, fixtures and other items at our properties
  • Handles rectification and maintenance works
  • Cover duties

Job Specifications

  • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
  • Professional certification in carpentry will be an advantage
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 kg without assistance
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
  • Able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, push, pull and twist as required during majority of the day
  • Must be able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours

CREMATORIUM FRONT LINE ASSISTANT

To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness in the chanting room and Ji Ling Hall.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness in the chanting rooms and Ji Ling Hall
  • Responsible to the custody service offering
  • Responsible to collect vegetarian sets and staff rations from kitchen
  • Assist in crowds control and public enquiries
  • To cover/support colleagues’ duties when required

Job Specifications

  • Minimum secondary school education with 5 years working experience
  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours

 DATA ENTRY CLERK

To handle Niches stocks from Crematorium.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to handle Niches stocks from Crematorium Department
• Responsible to check / enter / verify the Niches data as submitted data
• Responsible to conduct random physical stocks check at Crematorium Department
• To attend meeting to brief / update the progress of stocks check or deviations, if any.

Job Specifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels with 2 years working experience
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
• Able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours (if needed)
