PROGRAMME OFFICER

To involve in the overall operation, planning, implementing, coordinating and carry out of Dharma School existing and new programmes and projects, especially in areas of general administration, student administration and supervision, curriculum preparation support, logistic and administrative support and volunteer teacher training support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible in overseeing Dharma School smooth operation
  • To administrate student registration, maintain up-to-date, accurate and proper records on student particulars, activities and other pertaining information
  • Responsible in disseminating information to parents and students
  • Responsible to pre-prepare assembly hall for Puja and clearing up and also to assist school assembly and Puja
  • Responsible in volunteer teacher training programme and teachers’ connect time
  • Responsible in tidying and preparing existing teaching curriculum for volunteer teachers every class
  • Responsible for bus transport and taking care of students at the dismissal point
  • Responsible to take care of department cupboards storing areas and filing system
  • To manage and register volunteer contribution hour in system
  • Responsible to ensure safety and healthy working environment for all students and staff
  • Support in any ad hoc projects given by HOD
  • To cover colleagues’ duties when required
  • To cover/support inter-department colleagues’ duties when required
  • Support Monastery’s events and department activities as assigned by superiors

Job Specifications

  • Minimum A level with 1 year working experience
  • Candidate with Dharma knowledge and project/event management skills will be of an added advantage
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to communicate effectively with people of all demographics
  • Must be able to work on weekends and irregular hours
  • Ability to work and deliver under tight schedule, willing to take on extra duties

EXECUTIVE

To manage the estate & facilities in supporting various departments internally and externally, including project management. To manage centrally resources to achieve efficiently and cost effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide administrative and logistics support
  • Responsible for the loan of premises and equipment / resources
  • Responsible to provide support in Monastery events, activities and project
  • Liaise with LTA and traffic police on major monastery event
  • Responsible for yearly classroom planning
  • Responsible for maintainance of premise

Job Specifications

  • Minimum Diploma level with 2 years working experience
  • Good communication and planning skills
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
  • Able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours (if needed)

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT CUM CARPENTER

To handle the carpentry work in the Monastery, installations, corrective and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To understudy the current carpentry contractor with regards to all carpentry work and procedures for monastery events
  • To maintain and update maintenance records & documentations
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and cleaning, conduct checks on installations, trouble shooting, preventive and corrective wooden furniture maintenance works
  • Support event in the Monastery, e.g. setting up of praying fixtures
  • Perform minor adjustment on room furniture, fixtures and other items at our properties
  • Handles rectification and maintenance works
  • Cover duties

Job Specifications

  • Minimum 5 years carpentry experience
  • Professional certification in carpentry will be an advantage
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 kg without assistance
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
  • Able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, push, pull and twist as required during majority of the day
  • Must be able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours

CREMATORIUM FRONT LINE ASSISTANT (PART TIME)

To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness in the chanting room and Ji Ling Hall.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness in the chanting rooms and Ji Ling Hall
  • Responsible to the custody service offering
  • Responsible to collect vegetarian sets and staff rations from kitchen
  • Assist in crowds control and public enquiries
  • To cover/support colleagues’ duties when required

Job Specifications

  • Minimum secondary school education with 5 years working experience
  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours

CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attending to Devotees/Customers enquiries with regards to Ancestral Tablets
  • To assist Devotees/Families on Ancestral rituals/prayers and daily tablets placement
  • To clear all prayer food/fruits after placement of tablets/chanting/prayers
  • To monitor air-condition/lights/sound system during operation hours
  • To clear/clean/mop the floor/glass of the Hall
  • To assume/assist in other roles/duties/tasks of the Hall during Monastery annual prayer events
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Specifications

  • Min N/O Level with at least 2 years of front-line service
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess initiative and work well with minimum supervision
  • 6-day work week and must be willing to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Bilingual to communicate with English and Mandarin speaking users. The ability to speak dialect will be an advantage
