Thousands queued up overnight for the 3-Steps-1-Bow ceremony to purify minds and lessen obstacles. Participants also dedicated merits through offering of light and making aspirations as well as accumulated merits through bathing the Buddha.
Hair For Hope | 散发希望 2013
Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (KMSPKS) was a Satellite Partner of Hair For Hope 2013 organised by Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF). Participants shaved their heads at the monastery to support children with cancer on Wednesday, 1 May 2013.

A family retreat lead by delegates from Plum Village under the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. “Happiness” is what we yearn for. Where and how can it be found? Nurturing calmness of the mind gives us peace and tranquillity. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workshop
In this workshop conducted on 24 Feb, Prof. Tzung-kuen Wen from Dharma Drum Buddhist College in Taiwan, gave an experiential introduction to a full house crowd on mindfulness practices and how it’s applied in medicine, psychotherapy and school education.
CNY Appreciation Lunch for Volunteers
An appreciation lunch specially dedicated to our beloved volunteers was held on the 3rd Day of Chinese New Year on 12 Feb 2013 at the dinning hall. We also had MPs as guests to grace this happy occasion.
