SOCIAL SERVICE ASSOCIATE / EXECUTIVE

The programme executive role includes managing information and referrals, planning, designing and implementing programmes that meet the needs of clients, providing administrative support for the clinical team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to service phone line and email enquiries about counselling & social service
  • Conduct phone intake of information & referral (IR) for new clients
  • Provide administrative support in areas of database administration, data entry and filing, keeping and generation of report case recordings as well as statistic generation and reporting
  • Provide welfare and administrative support to volunteers and intern counsellors
  • Attend team meeting, case discussions and group supervision as required
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the management

 

 Job Specifications

  • Possess a Diploma/Degree in Counselling/Social Work/Psychology or relevant discipline
  • At least 2 years of direct working experience in social service sector
  • Meticulous and able to handle sensitive & confidential information

ASSISTANT MANAGER, COUNSELLING & SOCIAL SERVICE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify and chart the direction of the department in accordance to the vision of the Monastery
  • Plan, develop, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate new programme initiatives that meet the needs of the community and evaluate it periodically
  • Manage and ensure that counselling and social services are planned and conducted according to the guidelines of relevant professional standards and ethics
  • Identify professional training needs and recommend relevant trainings to the team members so as to keep abreast with the relevant professional standards
  • Provide clinical supervision including case consultation, guidance, review of clinical case notes/recordings, clinical guidance and feedback to staff and volunteer counsellors
  • Recruit, manage, supervise and support the team through regular meetings, case discussions and peer supervision sessions
  • Manage community information and referrals and assign cases to suitable counsellors and social workers/caseworkers
  • Evaluate and oversee case recordings to identify risk and monitor clients’ progress
  • Conduct walk-in & phone intake of information & referral (IR) for new clients as part of the clinical team
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the Management through periodical reports
  • Network and partner with relevant stakeholders and organisations

 

Job Specifications

  • Possess at least Master’s Degree in Counselling/Psychology with counselling supervisory certificate
  • At least 5 years of direct working experience in counselling, psychotherapy or social work for families and children etc
  • A registered member with Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC)
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin with strong communication skills to manage English/Mandarin speaking clients

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) MANAGER

Working in this Buddhist Monastery as an ICT Manager, you will play an important role in advising and supporting the department in the planning and execution of the monastery’s ICT plans. You will also work closely with various departments to implement new ICT initiatives and also to enhance and upgrade the overall operability of the Monastery.

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Computer Science or its equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience and 3 years’ in supervisory role

PROGRAMME EXECUTIVE, DHARMA EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

  • Assist in overseeing Dharma Education Department to ensure smooth operation

  • Mini. Diploma with 2 years of working experience
  • Candidate with Dharma knowledge and project / event management skills will be of an added advantage
  • Good communications skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with English, Mandarin speaking and people of all demographics) is pre-requisite

  • Ability to work and deliver under tight schedule, willing to take on extra duties
ADMIN COORDINATOR, PUBLICATION & DESIGN

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle phone, email and walk-in enquiries
  • Perform administrative and coordination work
  • Manage and liaise with volunteers, donors, vendors and distributors
  • Assist in creation of design works
  • Provide support in expanding distribution network

 

  Job Specifications

  • Min. Diploma with at least 2 years of working experience in administrative and design related functions

MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of a comprehensive and effective marketing and communication strategy, that supports the organisation’s mission, vision and priorities, to positively represent and promote KMSPKS and its programmes, services and events to internal and external audiences
  • Leverage consumer insights to effectively segmentise and target key audience groups
  • Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions
  • Ensure that the implementation of KMSPKS’ branding and marketing plans are aligned to the Monastery’s policies and guidelines. Develop and track marketing success criteria and metrics
  • Prepare and manage annual marketing budget to ensure a smooth and robust plan is in place
  • Originate & distribute all organisation communications content including marketing and promotional materials, memos, articles, alerts, digital communications, web content etc
  • Copywriting, editing, proofreading and translation (Eng & Chi) of all organisation communications materials
  • Handle and manage all sponsorship requests
  • Source and leverage on strategic partnerships to increase mileage of Monastery’s activities
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content
  • Curate monthly content calendar to ensure all content on Monastery’s social media platforms keep to brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target buyers

Job Specifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a marketing / branding role. Degree or diploma holder in marketing or communications

COUNSELLOR (PART TIME), COUNSELLING & SOCIAL SERVICE

As a part time counsellor, provide direct clinical services to clients, adhering to the professional standards and guidelines of counselling work. Involved in networking with relevant stakeholders and organisations, conducting relevant training, workshops or talks for volunteers and public.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face counselling service
  • Develop and implement suitable support services for the community
  • Attend to walk-in and incoming calls about programmes and services

  Job Specifications

  • Candidate must hold a Singapore Association of Counselling recognized counselling qualification (Masters/Postgraduate Diploma) or equivalent with at least 2 years of clinical experience

RETAIL ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide counter sales and attend to customers’ enquiries
  • Check and replenish goods according to stock movement

  • Prepare online purchased goods to be delivered
  • Assist in carrying out stock check following FIFO system

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, drying and storing kitchenware
  • Setting up and clearing of utensils, tables and chairs at F&B for monastery events and ad-hoc requests
  • Packing rice daily
  • Cleaning and tidying up dining areas
  • Stocking up consumables and condiments when necessary
  • Serving lunch and transferring cooked food into containers
  • Assisting at counter / food stalls for sales of mixed veggie rice, rice dumplings etc. during weekends and festival periods
  • Ensuring the tea/water level in the dispenser at water station is maintained and paper cups are replenished when necessary
  • Clearing the leftover food bins
  • Other general / ad-hoc duties assigned by superior

 

Job Specifications

  • Experience in F&B environment and able to communicate in English and Mandarin to manage Mandarin speaking public
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to commit for 3 working days per week
  • Must be able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours when required
  • Knowledge of operating cash registers or experience in the role of cashier would be an advantage
