PROJECT EXECUTIVE, SPIRITUAL EVENTS

The Spiritual Events department will plan, organize and execute both the Spiritual and Monastery events to create public awareness and interest in Buddhist teaching and practices for different levels of understanding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and execute both departmental and Monastery events
  • Handle public calls and email enquiries on event matters
  • Provide administrative and logistic support
  • Monitor safety aspects of events organized
  • Maintain good relationship with volunteers

 

 Job Specifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Project / Event Management or related fields with 2 years of relevant experiences
  • Effective communications skills (both written and spoken) in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates) is pre-requisite
  • Required Skill(s): Project / Event Management skills, good interpersonal and networking skills
  • Possess adequate Buddhism knowledge is of an added advantage

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, PURCHASING

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties
  • Assist in keeping the SOP updated
  • Implement improvement to the Navision Procurement System
  • Assist in sourcing and handling local buying
  • Follow up with vendor on any product delivery, shortage, damage and quality issues etc.
  • Coordinate with purchaser to consolidate and submit required reports timely

Front Office, centre of the Monastery involving in processing daily transaction pertaining to prayers services, donations, registration for Monastery major prayer events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support daily operations activities of Front Office
  • To liaise with Casket / Undertaker companies
  • To attend phone calls and walk-in customer enquiries and feedback
  • To process of labels / stickers for Urns Storage / Ji-Ling
  • To coordinate with customer for collection of photos for Niches / Ancestral Tablets

 

 Job Specifications

  • Candidate must process at least an ‘O’ level with min. 1 year of front line working experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyse users’ requirements for design and development of in-house application

  • Support for Monastery events as required

 

 Job Specifications

  • Candidate must possess Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information System or equivalent qualification

  • Strong programming skills and good understanding in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle reception desk to provide general information

  • Be the point-of-contact to assist in First Aid cases, guest reception etc.
  • Ensure general cleanliness and tidiness of the work area

M & E ADMINISTRATOR

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties (filing, documentation etc.)
  • Prepare and follow up with required Service & Work Order (SWO) and Requisition Form (RF)
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and proper certification in place
  • Co-ordinate with departments for M&E services / project-based works
  • Liaise with external contractors for M&E related works
  • Provide weekly updates on service / work progress
  • Assist in planning duty roster for technicians
  • Purchase spare parts for M&E services when required
  • Support the Monastery events when required

 

 Job Specifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma, preferred to be in the field of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Have basic knowledge in managing M&E facilities and system
  • Possess good administrative, coordination and communication skills

MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Custodian for all collaterals – Produce / edit / proofread content including but not limited to posters, brochures, electronic direct mailers, press releases etc.
  • Oversee marketing efforts by working with departments to create public awareness on events and programmes
  • Custodian for all communication channels including but not limited to social media channels, Reception office etc. Responsibilities include moderation, handling feedback, content planning etc.
  • Stakeholder management – liaise with Government agencies, community, media, public etc.

 

Job Specifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Mass Communications, Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communication or similar capacity
  • Experience in content creation and marketing communications is required

COUNSELLOR (PART TIME), COUNSELLING & SOCIAL SERVICE

As a part time counsellor, provide direct clinical services to clients, adhering to the professional standards and guidelines of counselling work. Involved in networking with relevant stakeholders and organisations, conducting relevant training, workshops or talks for volunteers and public.

  • Provide face-to-face counselling service
  • Develop and implement suitable support services for the community

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning, drying and storing kitchenware
  • Setting up and clearing of utensils, tables and chairs at F&B for monastery events and ad-hoc requests
  • Packing rice daily
  • Cleaning and tidying up dining areas
  • Stocking up consumables and condiments when necessary
  • Serving lunch and transferring cooked food into containers
  • Assisting at counter / food stalls for sales of mixed veggie rice, rice dumplings etc. during weekends and festival periods
  • Ensuring the tea/water level in the dispenser at water station is maintained and paper cups are replenished when necessary
  • Clearing the leftover food bins
  • Other general / ad-hoc duties assigned by superior

 

Job Specifications

  • Experience in F&B environment and able to communicate in English and Mandarin to manage Mandarin speaking public
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to commit for 3 working days per week
  • Must be able to work on weekends, public holiday and irregular hours when required
  • Knowledge of operating cash registers or experience in the role of cashier would be an advantage
