Maha Sangha Offering Ceremony (Lunch) DS Students Recruitment 百僧供（斋僧）少儿佛学班学生招募

We are pleased to inform you that we are recruiting students to participate in our yearly Maha Sangha Offering Ceremony (Lunch) on 1 Jan 2026.

The Sangha members represent the living embodiment of the Dharma. They uphold the responsibility of preserving and propagating Buddhism. As part of the Buddhist lay community, we support the Sangha members in material requisites as they dedicate their time and efforts towards the study and practice of Dharma, and to serve the community and society at large with spiritual nourishments.

The benefits of making offerings to the Sangha are plenty. The Buddha taught that this helps us to accumulate merits and create the conditions to be always happy, joyful, and wealthy. It also helps us to cultivate generosity, charity, and selflessness – qualities that lead us towards liberation.

We hope that your child will be able to participate in this meritorious event. Their role is to serve meal to our Sangha during lunch time on 1 Jan 2026.

The following are the school’s requirements for your child to participate in:

Sign up

  1. Must be our existing KMS DS student
  2. P2 and above
  3. Able to attend compulsory training on 21 Dec 2025 (Sun) 11.30am to 3.30pm

Training and Actual Day

  1. Must be healthy with no flu symptoms or severe eczema
  2. Must be neat and tidy 
  3. No nail polish, no messy fringe hairs, no long nails, no slipper/sandal
  4. Girls with long hairs are required to tie up their hairs neatly
  5. To wear DS uniform with long dark pant and covered sport shoes

By submitting your child’s name, it deems parent gives consent to child’s participation in the above-mentioned event.

报名条件

  1. 须是本校学生
  2. 小学二年级以上
  3. 须参加2025年12月21日的强制培训排练（11.30am to 3.30pm）

排练日和正日

  1. 须身体健康，无流感症状或严重湿疹
  2. 须衣着整洁
  3. 不涂指甲油，不留凌乱的刘海，须修剪长指甲，不穿拖鞋、凉鞋
  4. 长发女学生须扎头发
  5. 穿校服、深色长裤和包边运动鞋
